Bangladesh is, in the eye of Freedom House, a country of ‘partly free’ democracy. In both 2013 and 2014, this organization rated Bangladesh as a ‘partly free’ democratic one assessing the country’s internal civil liberties- freedom of expression and belief, associations and organizational rights, rule of law, personal autonomy and individual rights- and political rights-  electoral process, political pluralism and functioning of government. In last December, apropos to the political situation, in our assessment, political caldron of Bangladesh faced some significant issues and challenges. From these challenges, zero level of tolerance and absence of political pluralism among political parties, political oppression and persecution, mutual verbal attacking and disrespect, lack of freedom of expression and movement, lack of associations and organizational rights and weak functioning of government were notable.Politics-dec
